About Andres
Andres Caballero is a Colombian-born composer, orchestrator, arranger, and guitarist who studied Music Composition with an emphasis on commercial production from 2016 to 2024. Now based in Sydney, Australia, he blends Western academic traditions with contemporary production techniques—ranging from chamber ensembles and symphonic orchestras to electronic elements and cutting-edge sampling libraries. Driven by the cinematic magic that captivated him as a child, Andres creates memorable melodies and moving harmonies that evoke powerful emotions in listeners. He uses industry-standard DAWs like Pro Tools and top-tier libraries from Native Instruments, Spitfire Audio, and Cinematic Audio to craft his distinctly evocative scores, aiming to inspire others just as cinematic music once inspired him.

Scoring for Animation
These three short animations showcase my approach to scoring for animated storytelling. Each composition highlights a distinct style—from whimsical orchestrations to dramatic soundscapes—demonstrating how carefully crafted music can amplify visuals, guide emotional tone, and enhance the overall narrative experience.
Scoring for orchestra
These three works showcase my approach to arranging and orchestration across different eras and styles. The first two pieces—originally composed for piano by Clara Schumann and Ludwig van Beethoven—are expanded into full orchestral settings that respect the original intention, character, and thematic nuances, while leveraging the broader sonic palette of a full ensemble. The third example is a reimagining of Cole Porter’s jazz standard “I Love You,” arranged for a 13-piece Big Band, illustrating my versatility with modern ensembles and contemporary styles.
